§ 200-37. Contents of notice.

A.The first notice will be in the form of a violation notice (red tag) which will be served personally or by certified mail, return receipt requested. The red tag will describe the violation, the location of the public nuisance, a statement of acts necessary to abate the nuisance, and issue a compliance date.B.The owner will have the right to request an extension of time within which to comply with the Community Development Department by written agreement or to request a hearing by the Design Review Board.C.If compliance or request for hearing is not met or requested by the stated date, a second, final notice will be a pending prosecution notice and/or notice of abatement by the City. An inspection will be conducted at the end of the time limit stated in the notice. If compliance is still not met, the City will proceed with the abatement of the nuisance or with the filing of a complaint in a court of law.
